Welcome to Mariscos Martin

Mariscos Martin, a Mexican seafood gem located in La Puente, CA, is known for their specialty dish, ZARANDEADO, which has patrons raving. While their fish and shrimp dinner combinations impress, other dishes may fall short. Customers praise the prompt service and delicious options like the pescado zarandeado and shrimp molcajete. The atmosphere is welcoming, and the staff always serve with a smile. However, some improvements could be made, such as offering fresh agua frescas and smaller portion sizes for seniors. Overall, Mariscos Martin is a must-try for exceptional seafood in LA.

Their specialty is ZARANDEADO. The fish and shrimp dinner combinations are great. Ee have tried other dishes and Any other dish is just ok. Their chips are good, but the salsa was not good. We figure it's made with raw tomatoes and it was sour. A bit disappointing. Drinks are the average can, bottle and powdered mixes for aguas frescas. It would be much better if they had 1-2 fresh made agua fresca. Also, it would be awesome if they had smaller plates for seniors and people who can't eat such large portions. Yes, one could take the leftovers, but who really wants to reheat sea food?

I tried the pescado zarandeadoa a grilled fish dish. It was bomb, probably the best one I tried in LA. Ordered by the pound and comes with beans and rice sne tortillas. They are skimping with the rice and beans nowadays. Portion is much smaller than before so get some extra ig.

This is the most amazing Fish, (Filet Zarandeado), that I've ever tasted. The Shrimp is very flavorful, and the beans are the bomb. The chile is very good.

The food selection is great. The service is inconsistent. I've been here on different occasions and sometimes it's amazing! Drinks are filled, more food on route with cold appetizers coming out first then the hot dishes. This last time around, the waitress forgot about our requests. She asked if we wanted the food all at once or as it was ready. We get it, have it trickle out was the request. We got the cold appetizers after our hot plates. We asked for refills: water, beer, micheladas and we're sadly forgotten. She did apologize but forgot about our Drinks twice. They have musicos playing, which can be a fun ambiance but the place is crowded and gets loud fast. Which can make getting our waitresses attention difficult. Food recommendations: agua chile and ceviche tostadas, pescado sarrandeado (the chile sauce it comes with packs a punch), camarones costa Azul and carne asada tortas.

Food is great. They ate VERY busy so you need to flag down your server for EVERYTHING. But it's packed BECAUSE it's delicious! Parking is limited. There's a parking lot on the east and west of the restaurant.

Went in to Mariscos Martin expecting it to be a very modern place to visit (idk why) but it wasn't. Place is small, parking is limited and to top it off there was a water leak (rainy day) right next to our booth where we were seated. Our waiting time for a party of 2 was about 30 minutes but once we were seated our waitress was very attentive and quick to bring out the delicious micheladas. I have to say our food was delicious and the servings are generous. Not much to say about the ambience really, there was no music but they do have a machine where you can put money and choose your own songs (which I did) Lastly if you're planning to visit do not forget to take cash as they do not accept credit cards.

Another visit to one of a favorite spots for dinner. The food was delicious. We ordered the costa Azule and the Fillet Pescado Sarandiado. The service was great, our waitress was attentive, courteous and friendly and deserved the tip.We got there around 5:30 and was not too crowded but when we left it was packed. Two things we noticed new , none stop Corridos (music) and Zelle pay ,both a plus for this establishment .We'll be coming back soon.
